Mindset Matters

We are pivoting (pun intended). I want to talk about what mindset you may have in your day to day. Reading is hard… so, let’s make this fun. If you are anything like me, and I’m assuming you are; it may be a Sunday, and you may be watching the Washington Commanders play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and you may be wondering how it is that every player on the field doesn’t break every bone in their body after every hard hit.

Let’s talk about the conversation you’ll have in the break room tomorrow. That guy you hate at work will tell you how if the coaches actually put him in his senior year he would’ve been recruited and beat Tebow out for UF’s starting quarterback in 2007… well Greg, you were only on the team because your family gave money to the athletic program.

Greg may ask you what you think, you’ll tell him you’re sure he was better than the starter (who was a freshman) and he’ll leave happy. What you really want to say is “SHUT UP, NOBODY WANTS TO SEE YOUR HUDL VIDEOS”. Last time you spoke your mind HR got called because you were “insensitive”… Well, you are honest, and I value honesty!

I think I’m going to start asking you questions. We’ll play “is this appropriate for work?” One of my favorite games. Sometimes it’s a YES or NO question; sometimes its a multiple choice. So for this week I’ll make it easy (YES OR NO).

Is it ok to place a 4-leg parlay on NFL Playoff Games this coming week on the company card?

The answer is NO, unless you get caught ;). JK, no one said you couldn’t sports gamble at work, they just said you couldn’t do it on the company card (or on company time). So do it at lunch and use Greg’s credit card.
